I think I am happy. Well aren’t I?
I have money. I have a nice house and live in a seaside suburb. I have daughters and a wife – they are healthy, intelligent and successful. I have a good job – people say i am good at what I do and earn good money. People seem to like me and say I am a good person.
So if I am happy, how come:
- I sigh a lot
- I frequently get frustrated
- I don’t whole heartedly enjoy the success of others and secretly think their success is either lucky, not deserved or transitory
- I espouse giving but don’t do much of it
- I fill my life with jobs which give me a sense of short term achievement
- I save money when I have lots of it
- I am lonely
So I have set myself a goal of starting this website and blogging about stuff that inspires me – like happiness. Not the usual trite consultant speak about what happiness is – but getting real about how I can turn my life around. And live a life that makes me jump out of bed each morning..
Wow – thats wasn’t so hard was it? Blog one over and out.
